Supporting emerging cultural creators 支持新晉文創工作者
Over the past two years, the Vancouver Hong Kong Fair has been a large-scale cultural celebration, offering free admission to both the public and vendors. We strive to be accessible by minimizing the cost barriers to participate in this event, but participating vendors have since expressed a desire to support this annual event to be financially sustainable through vendor fees.
過去兩年嘅溫哥華香港人市集都係一個費用全免嘅大型公眾活動，目的係為咗以己之力盡可能擴大受眾範圍。及後，唔少檔主陸續鼓勵香港屋增設攤檔費用，佢哋都希望以檔主嘅身份出一分力，支持呢個屬於每一位香港人嘅龐大慶祝活動。
With this revelation, the Fair will be introducing reasonable vendor fees this year. However, we do not want to discourage friends who are embarking on new ventures or gearing up to launch their businesses from participating due to financial constraints. We do not want to miss out on promising vendors. Therefore, HK House will be launching a subsidized program alongside to support these emerging artists, creators and small businesses.
有見及此，今年市集將會首次象徵式向檔主收取相宜嘅費用；但同時，我哋唔希望剛到埗或準備創業嘅朋友會因檔主費用嘅門檻而卻步，亦令市集流失咗部份有潛質嘅朋友。於是，香港屋今年將會同時推出檔主資助計劃。

Selection Criteria 遴選準則：
The fair focuses on Hong Konger cultural promotion and will feature performances, exhibitions and booths.
市集旨在推廣香港獨有文化，精彩活動包括現場表演、藝文展覽及手作攤檔。
To support the fair's vision, we will be selecting vendors according to the criteria below:
為切合市集願景，所有報名攤檔將會經過遴選，準則如下：
Priority is given to booths with Hong Kong cultural elements (such as Hong Kong artisanal products, Hong Kong themed artwork and creations or Etsy handmade type products).
攤檔以推廣香港文化者優先（如香港人藝術文創作品、以香港為創作題材嘅藝術品或 Etsy手作類產品）。
Priority is given to booths that will launch new products or designs exclusively for the Fair.
攤檔為今年市集獨家設計或推出新產品者優先 。
Priority is given to booths whose values align with HK House’s missions of HK cultural promotion and community building.
攤檔與香港屋使命相符者優先，包括文化推廣同凝聚社群 。
Pricing 攤檔收費：
Booth pricing 攤檔收費：$50 each (每檔)

Each booth area will be 7 ft x 5 ft.
每個攤檔大概7英尺X5英尺。Tables, chairs, table cloths not included.
攤檔費用唔包檯櫈同檯布。Vendors can bring their own tables and chairs, or opt for renting a 6 ft table and two chairs for $20. Please bring your own table cloths.
檔主可以自攜檯櫈，或選擇以$20租借一張六尺檯同兩張摺櫈。所有檔主都需要自備檯布。Booth location will be first come first serve after payment and confirmation.
獲選嘅檔主會收到確認電郵。喺繳交咗攤檔費用後，即可以去指定網頁自選攤檔位置，先到先得。
Although we are collecting vendor fees this year, the expected revenue from vendors is not enough to cover venue and equipment rental costs. We always welcome donations! Please contact us if you would like to know more about our sponsorship package.

Subsidized Program 資助計劃 :
This year, HK House is looking to sponsor 5 to 8 qualified vendors in need by waiving the booth fees. To apply, you must meet all of the eligibility criteria below:
香港屋今年將會資助五至八位有需要而合資格嘅檔主，申請者必須符合以下所有條件：
New organizations or startups launching less than two years
新開業或者新成立唔超過兩年嘅小生意或機構
Revenue less than CAD500 per month
小生意或機構月入少於加幣$500
No access to resources
無從獲取資源
Important Details 重要事項：
Vendors are required to include bilingual presentations and displays with traditional Chinese and English in the booth.
檔主喺市集當日需要為展品或產品提供繁體中文同英文介紹。Decorations hung on walls, pillars and other structures that belong to Pipe Shop Venue are prohibited. Decorations and backdrops have to be free standing.
Pipe Shop Venue 唔俾大家喺牆身、柱或場內任何建築物上掛任何嘢。裝飾佈置同埋背景版必須係可以獨立企得到起身嘅嘢。Pets are not allowed.
不許攜帶寵物。
According to Vancouver Coastal Health, homemade or home-prepared food products are NOT allowed. If you're selling prepackaged food, your food must be prepared in an approved commercialized kitchen facility.
溫哥華沿岸衛生局條例禁止售賣喺屋企製作或準備嘅食品。如果你係出售預先包裝食品，你嘅食品必須要喺擁有認可商業設備嘅廚房內製作。
Vendor application form closes Feb 10, 2024 at 11:59PM.
檔主報名截止日期為2024年2月10日晚上11點59分。
Selected vendors should expect to hear back from us by late February.
