Adapting to a new environment is an inevitable stage for the migrant community. How does a city affect our everyday decisions? For the first time, Bookafilm joins Hong Kong Fair as an exhibitor, curating a socio-cultural exhibition with our lived experience. Through showcasing Hong Kong and Vancouver side by side, the exhibition leads visitors on a journey in reinterpreting the lifestyle that we have otherwise taken for granted.

對移居海外嘅社群嚟講，適應新環境係一個必經階段。究竟一個城市係點樣影響我哋嘅生活選擇﹖今年溫室首次以策展角色參與香港人市集，為大家帶嚟由「日常生活經驗」作切入點嘅城市文化展覽。透過香港同溫哥華嘅並行呈現，引導觀眾重新理解自己一直以嚟視為「理所當然」嘅生活方式。

Book-a-Film is a Vancouver-based cultural organization and Chinese online bookstore that brings together the Hong Kong diaspora through curated cultural experiences. From reading clubs and film screenings to community talks, we create spaces for the preservation, sharing, and evolution of Hong Kong culture.
