Hong Kong scholar, Sampson Wong, introduced a new way to study a city - simply to spend time walking in it. Many have been inspired to see the city they are in from a fresh perspective—staying present and observing the surroundings, and eventually building a deeper connection with the spaces around us.
Living in Vancouver, we might not be able to wander Hong Kong’s streets every day—but there are still plenty of ways to observe and reconnect with the city from afar.
The showcase features 12 unique streets across Hong Kong. Come dive into their histories and stories, and immerse yourselves in the visual art creation by Vancouver-based Hong Kong illustrator Chloe.
