We are Apple Turnover, a new band from Hong Kong formed by a group of friends who share a deep love for music. Although we haven’t officially performed on stage yet, we’ve been working hard in rehearsals to develop our own unique sound. Our music is mainly influenced by Asian and American pop/rock, but we’re also open to exploring different genres to create something fresh and energetic.
As a newly formed band, we don’t have any live performance videos yet—so this upcoming show will be our very first live experience and the beginning of our performance journey.
我哋係嚟自香港嘅新樂隊 Apple Turnover，由一班熱愛音樂嘅朋友組成。雖然未正式登台，但一直努力排練，打造屬於我哋嘅聲音風格。音樂風格以亞洲同美式流行搖滾為主，亦樂於嘗試唔同類型，創作出新鮮又有活力嘅作品。由於我哋都係剛成立既樂隊所以未有現場演出片段，所以今次演出就會成為我哋首個現場表演嘅經驗及片段。

Back in Hong Kong, there were three of us — a vocalist, a guitarist, and a drummer. We mainly did busking and occasionally performed in bars. In late 2022, the vocalist moved to Canada and began collaborating with various musicians. In August 2024, the guitarist also moved to Vancouver. The two officially began forming a full band, hoping to restart their musical journey. Although we haven’t performed as a full band in Vancouver yet, we want to take this opportunity to debut — covering different genres and creating original music that speaks to the Hongkonger-Canadian experience.
我哋喺香港嘅時候，有三個人，主唱、結他手同埋鼓手，主要會去busking，都有試過喺酒吧表演。2022年尾，主唱嚟咗加拿大，一直零零散散咁同唔同嘅音樂人合作。直至2024年8月，結他手都嚟咗溫哥華，兩個人正式開始招攬一隊Full Band，可以喺音樂路上重新出發。理論上，我哋未試過喺溫哥華Full band出show，但就想靠呢一個機會正式「出道」，希望用唔同Genre去玩Cover歌曲之餘，推出一啲屬於加拿大香港人嘅原創音樂。

Hi everyone, I'm Venus! I was born in Canada and raised in Hong Kong. After high school, I returned to Canada to attend UBC, where I am now an elementary teacher. I've loved singing since I was young and had performance opportunities through my aunt, a singing teacher. Singing has always been a hobby and a way to express myself.
During COVID-19, I worked as a part-time livestream singer, and using my "teacher voice" in classrooms has improved my singing technique. I'm excited to perform at the upcoming Hong Kong Fair!
大家好，我係Venus！我喺加拿大出世、喺香港長大同讀書。我中學畢業之後就返咗嚟溫哥華UBC升學，而家係一位小學老師。由細到大我都好鍾意唱歌，由於姑媽係歌唱老師嘅關係，我細個就有唔同機會可以上台表演，而唱歌一直都係我嘅興趣同埋抒發情感嘅方式。疫情期間我做過歌唱直播，加上而家教書成日要用氣大聲講嘢，唱功進步咗唔少。期待5/11可以同大家分享我嘅歌聲！

Noctis is a five-piece indie band formed by Hong Kong immigrants. Their music blends jazz, funk, J-pop, and City-pop, showcasing a delicate yet rhythmically rich sound. Depending on the performance, they sing in English, Cantonese, or Japanese, fluidly crossing language boundaries to convey emotions and stories. The band's name, "Noctis," is derived from Latin, meaning "night," reflecting the atmosphere of their music, which feels like wandering through the night.
Noctis 是由香港移民組成的五人獨立樂隊，曲風融合爵士、放克、J-pop 和 City-pop，展現出細膩又富有律動感的音樂質感。根據不同的演出場合，他們會演唱英文、廣東話或日文版本的歌曲，靈活地跨越語言界限，傳遞情感與故事。 樂隊名稱「Noctis」源自拉丁語，意為「夜晚」。這個名字呼應他們音樂中如在夜裡漫遊的氛圍感。

Our band members come from different age groups in Hong Kong. We are fortunate to be able to meet like-minded music enthusiasts here in Vancouver. We hope to carry on the musical heritage of Hong Kong and let our friends in Canada continue to enjoy Cantonese songs.
