In the era of information overload, when is the last time you paid attention to the sounds around you?
The numerous sounds that exist in each space become its soundscape, creating a unique listening experience that is sometimes deeper than what meets the eye. There are sounds that we may no longer hear every day. However, imagination and a pair of attentive ears are all we need to connect fond memories with new surroundings.
Earlier in March, HK House and artist Samson Cheung explored the soundscape of Vancouver together with some Hong Konger diaspora. The exhibition will share their listening journey of the echoes of home and their thoughts behind.
