簡介 Highlights

「不要成為陌生人(Don’t be a Stranger)」藝術展嘅策劃方式，希望可以觸動海外香港人嘅心，提醒我哋喺呢個世界並不孤單。 透過8位才華橫溢嘅藝術家以及3個港人生活品牌嘅角度，展覽透過藝術品嘅力量連接海外香港人，彌合我哋之間嘅距離，同埋提醒我哋有嘅共同價值觀。

展出嘅每一件藝術品都係我哋了解香港靈魂嘅窗口，反映咗香港豐富嘅飲食文化、複雜嘅英國殖民歷史、街頭藝術同蓬勃發展嘅電影業。 從香港本地時尚品牌 Victoria充滿活力嘅服裝設計，到攝影及作家《香港老美》發人深省嘅圖文藝術，每件藝術品都捕捉緊一個時刻同埋我哋熱愛嘅城市嘅一部分。

「不要成為陌生人」藝術展唔單止着重藝術本身，將希望佢哋可以喚起參加者嘅情感——當我哋睇到熟悉嘅場景重演或者聽到熟悉嘅聲時所感受到嘅歸屬感、當我哋見到代表童年時代嘅物件或聽到母語時湧回嘅記憶。

對於我們呢一班離鄉別井，或者覺得同屋企距離好遠嘅香港人嚟講，「不要成為陌生人」藝術展提醒我哋香港人係跨越全球大社區嘅一部分，我哋喺掙扎時並唔孤單，齊上齊落。

幫漫步展覽時，我哋就好似坐緊一部時光機經歷緊唔同年代同地點，返到去一個屬於香港人嘅地方。

The 'Don't be a Stranger' art show is curated in a way to speak to the heart of the Hong Kong diaspora, a reminder that we are not alone in this world. Through the eyes of the 8 talented artists and 3 Hong Kong lifestyle labels, the show is a testament to the power of art to connect us, to bridge the gaps between us, and to remind us of our shared humanity.

Each piece of art showcased is a window into the soul of Hong Kong, a reflection of its rich dining culture, its complex British Colonial history, and its thriving movie industry. From the vibrant designs of Hong Kong-born fashion label Victoria's apparel pieces to the powerful capture and writing of author and photographer 《香港老美》 “Hong Kong Lo Mei” , each work of art captures a moment in time, a slice of life in the city that we love.

But it's not just about the art itself - it's about the emotions that it evokes. It's about the sense of belonging that we feel when we see a familiar scene, or hear a familiar sound. It's about the memories that come flooding back when we see an object from our childhood, or hear a phrase from our mother tongue.

For those of us who have left Hong Kong, or who feel disconnected from our home, the 'Don't be a Stranger' art show is a lifeline. It's a reminder that we are part of a larger community that spans the globe, that we are not alone in our struggles, and that shares a bond that cannot be broken.

As we wander through the exhibit, we're transported to a different time and place, a place where we feel at home, a place where we belong.
