Picture this everyday moment: walking through the streets of Hong Kong in the morning with a bun in hand. 

From early Western-style pastries to local staples like pineapple buns and cocktail buns, these baked goods have become a defining part of the city. Each one carries a sense of memory and familiarity.

This year at #VanHKFair, Monica, founder of Orangio Craft (@orangiocraft), will lead a miniature clay workshop inspired by classic Hong Kong breads and pastries.

Participants will create a small pastry charm, a wearable piece that reflects Hong Kong’s bakery culture.

清晨嘅香港街頭，好多人手拎住麵包一路行一路食，呢個畫面承載住本地獨特嘅西餅文化。最初包點由外國傳入，款式唔多；到二十年代華人將西餅平民化，配合冰室經營，慢慢變成日常，菠蘿包、雞尾包等更成為經典。隨住時代變遷，手工麵包西餅因工序多同機器生產普及而漸漸式微，但依然有老字號堅持守護港味同背後嘅集體回憶。

為延續呢份地道情懷，今年香港人市集邀請擅長微型黏土創作嘅導師Monica，以港式麵包西餅做主題，帶大家親手製作一個別緻嘅懷舊麵包西餅掛飾，戴住佢再介紹畀多啲人認識香港獨特嘅西餅文化啦!

About Workshop Host 關於導師

Monica Tsang 係移居溫哥華嘅香港人，亦係橙圈手作 (Orangio Craft) 嘅創辦人及黏土導師，專注於食物微型黏土創作。佢擁有多項日本及台灣黏土教師認證，並持續探索同精進各種創作技巧，而家以兼職形式教授黏土課程。透過循序漸進嘅教學方式，佢帶領學生掌握製作技法，由基礎到細節，一步一步完成屬於自己嘅迷你黏土作品，體驗微型手作嘅樂趣。

Monica Tsang is a Hong Kong‒born clay artist now based in Vancouver. She is the founder of Orangio Craft and a clay instructor specializing in miniature food clay creations. Monica holds several clay teacher certifications from Japan and Taiwan and continues to explore and refine different creative techniques. She currently teaches clay classes part-time, guiding students step by step to create their own detailed miniature clay pieces.
